Legal
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 14, 2026
These terms cover buying and using Three Macros. They are written to be read, not skimmed past. The part most people want is section 8 — what happens with refunds on a digital product.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By purchasing, downloading, opening, or otherwise using Three Macros — including the preview on this website — you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with them, please do not purchase or use the product.
2. Who can buy
You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and to make the purchase, under the law that applies where you live. If you are buying on behalf of someone else, you are responsible for their use of the product under these terms.
3. What Three Macros is for
Three Macros is a food-tracking and educational tool. It helps you record what you eat, set and adjust macro goals, and learn how protein, fat and net carbs work together.
It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or individualised medical or nutrition care. It does not replace a doctor, a registered dietitian, or any other qualified professional. If you have a health condition, are pregnant or nursing, take medication, have a history of disordered eating, or have any personal medical concern, speak with a qualified professional before changing how you eat.
4. No guaranteed results
We do not promise weight loss, muscle gain, body recomposition, a particular health outcome, or any result within a particular timeframe. What happens depends on many things that are outside the product's control — your body, your health, your consistency, your circumstances, and the accuracy of what you enter.
We also cannot guarantee the accuracy of nutrition data. Food labels, package weights and portion sizes vary in the real world, and any figure the app shows is an estimate built on what you told it.
5. Your information, your decisions
You are responsible for:
- the information you enter, including foods, portions, weights and goals;
- the label values you copy in, and choosing which number to trust when a label and a database disagree;
- how you interpret what the app shows you; and
- double-checking anything that matters to a health decision.
Three Macros gives you tools and estimates. It does not make decisions for you.
6. Your licence to use it
Your purchase gives you a personal, limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use Three Macros for your own personal use. As the website already describes, you may use your copy on your own personal devices; saved data does not move between them.
You may not:
- resell, rent, sub-license or otherwise commercially distribute the product;
- upload, post or share the downloadable file publicly, or send it to people who have not bought it;
- copy the product for redistribution, whether or not you charge for it;
- sell or distribute modified versions of it; or
- republish the paid Learn material, in whole or in substantial part, so that it is publicly available.
7. Intellectual property
The Three Macros name and branding, the design of the app, the original written and instructional material, the original graphics, and the software itself remain ours, to the extent protection applies. Buying the product gives you the licence described in section 6; it does not transfer ownership of any of that.
Third-party names, trademarks, nutrition data and linked content referenced inside the product remain the property of their respective owners.
8. Digital product and refunds
Three Macros is a downloadable digital product. Once it has been delivered, downloaded or opened, it cannot meaningfully be returned — there is nothing to send back. That is why a working preview of the product is available on this website before you buy, so you can see how it behaves first.
Because Three Macros is a digital product and a working preview is available before purchase, sales are generally final once the product has been delivered or accessed.
Nothing in this policy limits any refund or remedy required by applicable law.
We will still look after you where something has genuinely gone wrong. Please contact us if:
- you were charged more than once for the same purchase;
- you paid but never received the product;
- delivery failed for a technical reason we can verify; or
- your circumstances are covered by a refund right the law gives you.
What this policy does not cover is changing your mind after downloading or accessing the product, deciding you do not like it once you have opened it, or not having tried the preview before buying.
If you think something has gone wrong with your purchase, email threemacros@gmail.com and tell us what happened. We would rather hear from you than have you sit with a problem.
9. The website preview
This website includes a limited preview of Three Macros so that you can try the core tracking experience and see what the full product contains before deciding to buy.
The preview is deliberately not the complete paid app. Some areas are shown but locked, some features are not included at all, and anything you enter in the preview is demo data. The preview is provided as-is, for evaluation, and may change or be withdrawn at any time.
10. Devices and browsers
Three Macros runs in a web browser. You are responsible for using a reasonably current, supported browser and device. We cannot guarantee that every browser, device or operating system — now or in the future — will run the product correctly, and we cannot guarantee compatibility with configurations we have no way to test.
Some parts of the product depend on what your browser supports. As the website notes, voice entry and links out to other websites may need browser support or an internet connection even though the core tracker works offline.
11. Where your data lives
Three Macros stores what you enter — foods, meals, pantry items, goals, weights and history — locally, in the browser on the device you use it on. It does not send that information to us, and there is no account, server or cloud database holding it.
That has a consequence worth understanding: there is no backup. Clearing your browser or site data, using private browsing, uninstalling the browser, switching browsers or devices, or losing the device can erase what you have saved, and we cannot recover it for you. Each device keeps its own separate data, and they do not sync.
How this works is described in more detail in our Privacy Policy.
12. Services we rely on
Running this website and delivering purchases involves a small number of third-party services:
- Stripe processes payments. Checkout happens on Stripe's own pages; we never see or handle your card details.
- Netlify hosts this website, handles the email sign-up form, and runs the function that processes the purchase confirmation.
- Resend sends your delivery email after a completed purchase.
- Google (Gmail) receives email you send to our support address.
Each of these has its own terms and privacy practices, which govern their handling of your information.
13. Changes and availability
We may change, improve, correct or update Three Macros over time. We may also change what this website offers, including the preview. We do not promise that every specific feature will stay exactly as it is, or remain available indefinitely.
Where we have already made a commitment — for example, sending customers a corrected version of the file when we fix a bug they reported — we intend to keep it.
14. Misuse
Please do not:
- distribute or publish the paid file;
- attempt to bypass access controls, or the limits placed on the website preview;
- attempt to extract paid content from the preview;
- interfere with, overload or attempt to break this website or its delivery process; or
- use the product for anything unlawful.
15. Limitation of liability
Three Macros is a low-cost personal tool, and our responsibility is scaled to that. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — for example lost data, lost time, or a health or fitness outcome that did not go the way you hoped — arising from your use of the product. Where we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the product.
Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any right you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
Three Macros is provided as described and as available. To the extent the law allows, we do not give warranties beyond that — in particular we do not warrant that the product will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will meet a specific personal goal.
Your legal rights as a consumer, including the right to a product that matches its description, are not affected by this section.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. Updates apply going forward, not retrospectively, and the “last updated” date at the top of this page will change when they do.
18. Contact
Questions about these terms, a purchase, or anything else are welcome.
